This may become long and boring but hopefully neither.
A little over a year ago I switched from full time business owner to full time 'wage earner' in ironically a career that is a blend of every job I've had since I started working.
Owning a business can be very satisfying and rewarding, but over time it took a toll on me mentally, and financially as my family grows.
My wife, my amazing little girls, madison and peyton, and I decided to bring my nephew into the family. His mother has had a difficult time and we all came to the conclusion it would be a good thing for him, and Cocoa (the lab we got from Celeste and Roger-the two are inseparable)
Of course with all this some other challenges have come...braces, hearing aids (Peyton has hearing loss since birth), rising business expenses...whole nine yards to accompany a slowing local economy.
SO, I pounded pavement looking for supplemental income, which has since made washing a supplemental income. I began working for a local company that, of all things, installs and services car wash equipment.
Some may remember I was born into a roofing business in 1972 and owned a home improvement business with my father since 1993, 2002/03 I began a pressure cleaning business after a talk with the Chemical Doctor)
Now I find myself filling in some missing pieces of my life's puzzle.
Its been an amazing 12 months, and as the pieces fit together the next 12+ will likely be just as amazing.
OH yeah I've been pressure washing car washes quite often too
I'm likely going to rename the business with the new partners...might even sell my web address if the right scenario comes along.
Thanks to all of you who've been a part of this. I don't always have the extra time daily to get online other than for email, but I do my best to check out the forums at least once a week and I honestly don't post too often because of all the "crap" that gets started when a comment is taken the wrong way.
Remember "a clean car gets better gas mileage"
