Greetings friends and newbies.

I'm glad to see some nice work being done out there. 10+ pages to go through... Lot of good people to learn from around here.

I sincerely wish all of you a happy, healthy, prosperous 2009.

My 2008 wasn't as great as I hoped, but that's behind me. When things get you down and you're about out...just pick yourself and your pieces up, refocus and roll on.

Hey, I'm alive, that's the best part.

Life has dealt me an interesting hand the last 12 months. I think with the right exchange I may come out on top.

The hiatus I've taken with my 4 year old/14 year old business may prove to be a smart move after all. A lot of reality has been brought to the forefront.

I appreciate the calls and emails over the last 12 months, some have been truly inspirational. Its friends like Jeff, Ron, Russ, Chris, Mike, Don, Celeste, and others that have kept me from just saying F it, and tossing in the towel at times. Persistence will pay off and someday your story may inspire others.

2008 was supposed to be great....it wasn't

BUT 2009 will be MINE.

Keep plugging away Gary, glad to see you back!

This may become long and boring but hopefully neither.

A little over a year ago I switched from full time business owner to full time 'wage earner' in ironically a career that is a blend of every job I've had since I started working.

Owning a business can be very satisfying and rewarding, but over time it took a toll on me mentally, and financially as my family grows.

My wife, my amazing little girls, madison and peyton, and I decided to bring my nephew into the family. His mother has had a difficult time and we all came to the conclusion it would be a good thing for him, and Cocoa (the lab we got from Celeste and Roger-the two are inseparable)

Of course with all this some other challenges have come...braces, hearing aids (Peyton has hearing loss since birth), rising business expenses...whole nine yards to accompany a slowing local economy.

SO, I pounded pavement looking for supplemental income, which has since made washing a supplemental income. I began working for a local company that, of all things, installs and services car wash equipment.

Some may remember I was born into a roofing business in 1972 and owned a home improvement business with my father since 1993, 2002/03 I began a pressure cleaning business after a talk with the Chemical Doctor)

Now I find myself filling in some missing pieces of my life's puzzle.

Its been an amazing 12 months, and as the pieces fit together the next 12+ will likely be just as amazing.

OH yeah I've been pressure washing car washes quite often too :D

I'm likely going to rename the business with the new partners...might even sell my web address if the right scenario comes along.

Thanks to all of you who've been a part of this. I don't always have the extra time daily to get online other than for email, but I do my best to check out the forums at least once a week and I honestly don't post too often because of all the "crap" that gets started when a comment is taken the wrong way.

Remember "a clean car gets better gas mileage"

Great to hear from you Gary, keep in touch.

If you decide to sell the domain, I would like to buy it, but like you said, that would be later on if at all.

Thanks for the info on those 2 chems, I will start looking for them. We have some car washes here that are getting in bad shape.

I know that Kleen Rite sells the kleen wall product....so does the company I am with, I don't know what it would cost through us, I can check and let you know on Tuesday.

I hope your hands are healed up from those burns from a while back, I wanted to print them out for work for our weekly safety meeting.

Its going to get real interesting in the next few weeks for me...one year anniversary with the company...401K and profit sharing will begin and guess what...there is a whole lot of stuff they have no clue that they are missing out on that I will gradually share with them. A lot of cross over.

Good seeing ya, call me when you get a chance.

On the bottom of my hand you can't tell I lost the skin there but on the top of my hand there is a scar that looks like it is starting to fade but you can still tell the difference between the old and new skin.

It was rough not being able to use that hand for anything for a while but like when I broke the other hand, you learn to adapt and make do with what you have.

Glad to see that you are doing good, Don't be a stranger.
