apple sauce or apple cider??

You are an officer and a gentleman. I appreciate you taking the time to answer these questions. I've done my share of roofs, but I am all ears when it comes to getting advice from a pro. You are definitely the pro around here. Seems like I see your guys everywhere. I have no problem with my competitors because I believe there is more than enough work for all of us.

Thanks again Chris.
Jim, YOU are a Pro too :)
When I saw WHO you were, I was happy to see YOU here.
Like you, we do a lot of work in Tampa High End communities.
You are very well regarded.
Man, you MISSED a really cool Roundtable in Lakeland!
Lots of the best Local guys there, you would have Loved it.
Chris

Dan of MobilWash,

I just caught your post about the Apple Dawn. I appologize for taking so long to answer the question you posted about Apple Dawn. Chris may know of a supplier in bulk but I have seen it at Sam's Club pretty inexpensive and you can buy in case lots and you get a discount if you are a business member.
Also, Several local Dollar stores have it pretty reasonable and if you buy in case lots from them I have negotiated a discount from them inthe past by asking for the manager on the day their shipment comes in. Do a google search for wholesale detergent suppliers nationally and locally. You may find a restaurant supply that will sell Apple Dawn wholesale to you if you set up an account.

Hope this helps. Have a cleaner Day!

EVERYONE has heard of you guys.
Some things, I dont put on the boards.
If you ever have a question, feel free to call :)
Yes, there is PLENTY of work for everyone, at least those who make an effort to go out and get it.
My guys are out working right now here locally.
Got a few Tampa Roofs to do too, up in Cheval.
But rain lurks on the horizon, and a Hurricane is inching toward Tampa, as we speak.
We decided to stay here in Brandon, as opposed to going up to Tampa.
The Weather is the Boss :D

SHC turns white when it is reacting with the algae.
Nothing more, nothing less.
I think Jim from Scrubbing Bubbles KNOWS that SHC turns white.
Here is an excerpt from his web site

Pressure washing, pressure cleaning, power washing, power cleaning, whatever you choose to call it, is our specialty. We clean everything from tile and shingle roofs to decks, patios, screened enclosures, soffits, driveways, sidewalks, you name it, if it's outside, we can probably clean it. While we can clean tile roofs with either chemical cleaning or pressure washing (no chemicals), shingle roofs only get our famous "gentle as rain" chemical cleaning.

The picture Jim from Scrubbing Bubbles was referring to is my Avatar Picture.
This is an old picture of me cleaning a roof in Providence Lakes, almost 9 years ago.
The chemicals we were using with the SHC was TSP and Borax.
This church we just cleaned is not just SHC.
Nor is this tile roof picture.

I've cleaned lots of Florida roofs over the years in my painting business but never the way you folks do(wish I did). However, now I'm too old and rickety to climb up and spray on the Sauce or Cider. Can it be made into a solution that can be sent thru the chemical injector of a regurlar 3000psi pressure cleaner. I have a white roof(concrete S tile) that I cleaned 3 years ago before I screwed up my back. Honestly I tried to make up a concontion with some of your suggestions but can't quite get it right. The borax didn't totally liquify. Wonder if I should use liquid cleaners along with the chlorine? Not starting any business here in the Sebring area, but would be interested in getting my own house clean so I can sell it and move to S.C. At 59, all I do is paint small jobs while my wife works full time. thanks for any help. pd
