Machine wouldn't start today unless I tapped on starter. No problems, fix it when I get home right? wrong. Might just be coincidence, but a few hours later motor started bellowing black exhaust for about 2 minutes and then died on me. 9 months old with about 1300 hours.

If you have your original reciept when you purchased the machine there is a 2 year warranty on the engine. You don't have to take it to the dealer that sold you the machine. Any engine shop that does Briggs/Vanguard Warranties can fix it under warranty. Don't buy a new one there is a warranty on that one. Most pressure washer Dealers will take it to an engine shop anyways so save some time and take it yourself.
