.30 cents a pound for 12.5% SH

Most bleach I have seen weighs about 10 pounds per gallon so you are looking at about $3.00 per gallon which seems a little bit high.

Maybe there are some other suppliers in your area with better prices.

They(Whitiker) get it from Trinity in NC, I believe it should be pretty fresh! Their web site has a break down chart that makes me kinda sad though. Any of you think a fresh 55 gallon drum will last 6 months? I'm looking for a place that gets it fresh every week or so, and I can just by from them! It eludes me though.

Powder is sold by the lbs. Are you pricing powder pool shock? That is not the same as liquid 12.5% also known as pool shock. You won't want to use a powder.

The place I buy from sells SH to me they price it by the pound and it is liquid at .22 cents a lb.
Yeah, thats the way that most figure it internally, its figured by shipping weight instead of by the gallon, reason is that different liquids have different weights so when they are figuring the transport cost, weight and figures its just one less step for them.

Ours is priced by the gallon but sold on the invoice as weight and gallon. For instance when we pick up chems at the supplier and its pumped directly into the tanks its a tad cheaper because they figure the weight of the drum when its delivered.

Wow! I'm just happy we have drive up, fill up and go stations here. We pay by the gallon here. Got my print out a couple weeks ago from 2012. We spent just under $9600.00 for the year and I only pay .98 a gallon .

Found someone in Rock Hill, selling it at .135 cents a pound, and can get it as small as 15 gallons up to 225 or what ever the big totes go up too. I know some of you don't really care but just thought I'd update, just incase another whipper snapper was searching one day! That cut the price in half from the other place, now I just need to find out how fresh it is.
