bigboy

1st thing you should spend your $$ on is rims
you get a flat on that truck and i bet you cant find anyone that knows how to take a rim like that apart.
you going fox hunting by the retirement home?
im guessing it will be quite a while before thats a boulavard cruiser.
keep the foxes in the back you can dump them when the bait dont taste so good anymore.
got a motor pic?

idea

with the war on and all i think a nice paint job that looks like the old bomber planes of that time would look cool shark mouth pin up girl
some confirmed hits couple of bullit holes
memphis belle type you know
oh well thats just me good luck

I don't know Dan,I've yet to make up my mind on what I want to do...not only with the 1 ton but on what I want to do.Almost bought 2 BIG trucks Monday as in hitting the road for awhile running flatbeds, then again I may still buy the carwash or fix the one 1 ton into a polishing detailing rig or a mobile lube,so as you can see I don't even know what I want to do as of now or in other words I have a open book on which or what or when or if I make up my mind at all.

Now why would I want to get rid of those rims just b/c they may be alittle dangous to some want-a-be flat fixers.
No,not hunting the gray fox b/c of the fur market on those,We only use red fox bait.

Take a look at this motor, sun is setting for the yellow look, but no greasey motor, fire wall or front axle, may have lucked in on a good flathead 6,it has no oily leaks that I can see.

Oh man I think Ron's onto somethin with the war idea. Don't paint it, but at least get it runnin a little bit!!!!!!!! Go to the war surplus store and buy yourself a bunch of medals, and some kind of uniform that you still look good in (how bout Army Delta Force Duds). Move to another town, but before you do send your advance man to spread rumors that a war hero's thinkin about settling down there. Maybe he could say that you had hand to hand combat with a few of Osama's boys and took their Saturday Night Ride for a souvenir. Probably will have to explode a hand gernade or 2 near it to make it look more warlike, but when you pull into the new town in that truck it's a slam dunk you'll be a instant hero and maybe even be elected Mayor and wouldn't have to worry about followin rules anymore.

Hi Bigboy,

Neat lookin old truck! :)

Best of luck to you on whatever you decide to do with the Ol '49.

Dave Olson

Although it'll be sweet when refinished, it looks like a time and money pit.

I'd think those two bowties in front of it would be a far more economical choice.
