Silver Eagle Out of Business?

Does anyone know what happened to Silver Eagle? I have a brand new 8 GPM unit on order from them and haven't been able to get in touch with them. The homepage of their website is up but all the other pages are down. Their voice mail box is full and nobody is responding to any e-mails. I've been trying since Thursday and nothing. I googled and tried to find out something about them and came up with nothing as well. It's almost like they dropped off the face of the earth. I was supposed to have a delivery date for the week of August 26. The last time I talked to them was a few weeks ago.

Thanks Stephen, it just seems odd is all. If they went on vacation you would figure their voice mail would say something. The voice mail box is full. Also, not too many people take their websites down while they go on vacation as well. My wife is going to call the bank first thing in the morning. I gave them a hefty deposit on it.

Vendor that we share says they ordered last week so I am guessing they are still there. But you are right the web site is down and the voicemail is full. Waiting from a call back from another vendor we share, will let you know what I hear.

No, I haven't found out anything. Their website is fully functional but now their phone just rings and rings, no voice mail. I don't know if the bank will do anything either. If the bank doesn't do anything then I'm flying to Houston Wednesday morning and getting it all sorted out. If worst comes to worst then I'll be filing charges against them.

I went by today, and while they are still open and working, they are or have filed for bankruptcy and will be shutting the doors the week after labor day week. I spoke with a Wayne who is Production Manager. i told him I had a friend in CA that had given a deposit, and now could not get a hold of anybody. He explained that after 30 years in business, and he working there for 8, that yes they were shutting down. I gave him your name Vince and he said he would let Mike the owner know I stopped by and also give him your name to call.
 
Vince Dispute that Card now, you have Protection for Six months. The BK cannot protect that Money Charged..... however you could see it Instant after 21 Day Dispute Policy. ( sometimes you have to put the Bank on Notice you Know this BK does not Protect him)

If your Bank cannot get it right Away Stay on top of Mail, a court will send you a Paper. You will fill it out and the Judge will order the Card company to take the Loss and refund you under federal protection credit act. ALL credit Commerce in a BK is protected up to six months.

I learned this Taking Cards from people who Went BK. Its no fun being involved in this, lets hope you paid by card and it had a Master Charge or Visa Symbol on it. Straight Debit card might be a different story.

Thanks Ron for all the information and thanks Doug for going out there for me today. The deposit was paid for with a Visa card through the bank. My wife is handling everything right now with the bank. I'll order another unit from Russ early next week. I was thinking about catching a redeye to Houston tonight and paying them a visit in person. I'm thinking though it would be just a wasted trip over there though at this point.
