Firefighters responded to a fire at a restaurant in Cross Lanes Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 1 p.m. at AmerAsia Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant at 806 Cross Lanes Drive.
Kanawha County 911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the fire was on the stove in the kitchen. Smoke was coming from the restaurant when firefighters arrived on scene.
Firefighters on the scene said the fire suppression apparatus was not hooked up to help put out the fire. The suppression system is attached to the top of the stove's hood to help spray chemicals on the fire and help contain it until firefighters arrive on scene.
The State Fire Marshall and Kanawha-Charleston Health Department have been called to the scene to investigate.
No major damage was reported.
The 900 block of Cross Lanes Drive was blocked while fire crews were on scene.
