Yellow Pages / Websites

I don't do a lot of residential, but I have gotten 3 houses in the last month because the home owner saw my web address in my yellow page ad and then went to my website.

My website is nothing fancy and I only have a 1/2 inch 3 line ad in the yellow pages. If you have a website it does help to give you credibility. My point is everyone needs have a website and use their web address in all of their marketing.

I had great luck with my website listed in my yellow page ad last year.

I plan on having the ad in for this coming year, thinking of ideas for the design.

It will not be a large ad, just a good ad with the website address there.

What do you guys think about yellow book. I just talked with the sales person they told me that I could have two business card size ads listing on yellow book web site plus they will build web site for $300 my thing is any one use the yellow book

I used to be a sales manager for a Yellow Page company. Yellow Book usage is different in every market. You need to figure out your ROI (return on investment) and see how many jobs it would take for this to be a good deal for you.

When dealing with yellow page companies be sure to NEGOTIATE. Most telephone companies will not negotiate with you on their yellow pages but independent yellow page companies such as Yellow Book or Talking Phone Book will negotiate especially when they are about to close the book.
