so if i was to say " pressure washing is a multi billion dollar a tear industry " i wouldnt be lying
Steven, think about that comment for a minute.
I may be overly cautious but I would not use that in marketing or promotions because that would bring more lowballers and hacks into your neck of the woods to get some of the action. look at the florida market, overly saturated to the point where the hacks are getting lowballed by other lowballers to the point where nobody is making good money.
Just my opinion but I like making the money I am making and I would not be promoting what the industry is making because in my market there are more and more lowballers every year.
For example, the year before last, the last 5 parking lot striping jobs I quoted were lower than normal as work was getting very slow, a lot slower than normal so I can get something but I found out on each of those last 5 jobs that they were bid lower than what I buy the paint for to do the job, think about that one.
I was only using Sherwin Williams striping paint so whoever was bidding and won the jobs were probably not even using striping paint as it is expensive and very fast drying. I mentioned this to the foremen and contractors and their comment is that they really don't care about the property once they get the check and it clears. Wow. I really cannot believe that I heard that from a supposedly reputable contractor so that is the point where I decided to get out of that business if it is already sinking fast. I sold the equipment, trailer and supplies last year. I still get some calls and pass them over to a friend of mine but even he comments how cheap jobs are becoming as there are so many out there that are not charging much over the cost of paint or even cheaper.
Not sure why you want those numbers Steven, I am probably just being overly cautious again.
