WWII Veteran

The Cleaner

Vetran Washer 30 Years Plus
We did the home of a 90 yr old Veteran today, We have done him several times over the years. We never charge him and he is always so thankful, I cant tell you how it feels to help someone who has seen so much. Besides being a Decorated War Hero and a proud patriot he is so humble and thankful to have served.

When we got done he tried to pay me as he always does, but I have to always remind him that he has already paid me. When we were leaving he came outside with his wife and held my hand thanking us with tears in his eye's, and I have to tell you there is no better feeling than giving back to someone who gave so much.

I am not writing this for the ataboy Nick praise, I just felt it was a great feeling I wanted to share with the people here who do the same thing thru the years, and I know that PWI has many great Patriots !! In an economy like this we should all be very thankful for everything we have, and the friendship of so many great people on this forum.

Great thing you did Nick!

I have done some like that, they really want to pay you for your services and you don't want to upset them, that is the hardest part of the job, not taking their money.

I tell them that it was already paid for and they stand there wondering as I leave, not sure if they figure it out or keep on wondering but it is the least I can do for great people out there.

I seen my DAD in his eyes, my father fought in Pattons Army in North Africa, also a decorated Hero. I know of all my fathers struggles thru the depression then WWII, and after all they had to come thru still managed to live a good life and raise a family. I have alot of respect for that generation, we all should as those day's and most of those patriots are all but gone now.
