I have been fighting a case of bad anxiety and nerves for the past couple years.. but the last couple months they have been getting gradually worst. Started a couple weeks ago with not wanting to drive by myself, and ended up in the ER last Friday. I havent worked in the past couple days just trying to take it easy and get the meds in my system, which has felt like my body has been fighting with not eating, extreme sweaty hands and feet, chills with no fever etc.
But today has been a really good day! I got out and took my little girl to school, went and ate a good breakfast, meet my Dad who has been taking my guys up to the jobsite at least I have got some good guys that is making sure my work is still getting done!
In the past I have tried to beat this with my brain to over come certain things but it finally caught up with me, I guess I thought the meds was a weakness. I might have been able to avoid all this if I would have started the meds 2 years ago when my first "panic attack" happened.
There has been alot of guys from the boards call me over the past couple days and I havent called them back yet, but give me a couple more days and I will give you a shout.
I am a Christian and knows that the Lord will help me with this, but I do desire your prayers if your a praying man or woman.

Dainel,

You can count on me to pray for you daily!!! It will get better. How do I know? I have a Caring, Loving and Faith God that promises that he will never leave you or forsake you. That in troubled time he is always there. I believe the worst is over. He will heal you make you a NEW Man!

Has your doctor fiqured out what is causing these symptons? There has to be something causing you all this stress. Good Luck, feel better!!

I was wondering what was up. You got my prayers buddy. Xannax is the answer by the way. I went through the same thing years ago and after testing and trial and error I found that a low dose did the trick. Been on them for years. Welcome to the club. I think most of us are on something. LOL... Owning our own business' will drive you crazy...Hey, even a rubber band will snap when you stretch it out too far. Same with our bodies. Good Luck Daniel. Keep on Keepin!

We had alot of stress in the 70's and we used Quaaludes to forget about everything!! I dont know to this day what the hell was stressing me?

Get to a good MD Daniel. Get your thyroid checked out too. If you don't think you're getting the attention you need get another MD. You have to be proactive when it comes to health care. Most MD's don't give you a second thought once you're out the door.

Hey Danny--Follow your Doctors advice. Also keep your body in shape so the blood and oxygen flow smoothly thru you. Where all getting a we bit older and where handling more and more responsibilities and the stress levels can raise tremendously because of this but remember take care of yourself and follow the doctors orders.

Good Luck.

Call if you need anything, step back and look at the big picture. We all can only do what we can do. As long as the family is healthy the other parts will eventually work themselves out with persistance and hard work.

I will pray for you stress to leave you, hope you make Atlanta. Really would like to see ya so get better.

Start eating better!!! your diet is important. I had a freind that was stressed and on meds. I stuck around him all day for a few days and realized he ate like Crap.

We got him on a high protein diet, he stopped taking meds started excercising and he for the first time in his life has not had one in over a year. He told me couldnt believe his diet ment so much.

Screw the Doctors orders, they want you on Meds...

Im with the diet and stay away from doctors aswell group. I know personally what your going thru.. Benzos are the road to hell in my book. Its a drug that gets you hi to make you not have the normal feelings a person should have called anxiety.. anxiety is why we work so hard to expand our business. Its what gives us our edge. FEAR is the opposite of FAITH... I know its hard.. Eat right.. I had to drop the doctors orders cold turkey to do it but I am a better man for it.. I feel so good now.. with no meds the panic attacks every monday morning went away.. Take my advice.. excersize, eat right, and no meds.. This is my opinion.. Im not judging you.. To each his own but this is just my experience.. The doctor will send a person down the wrong road.. Pills for anxiety are a terrible addiction that can and will kill you. You will be in our prayers. You know what to do.. If you believe in God.. You know what to do..

Brother I'm not saying meds are no good all together, just many doctors hand these things out like candy.

Diet is the most important thing. Being healthy moving and diet!!!

Take that advice from a fat Man

Anxiety attacks often happen because your left and right brain are not communicating. If you have one again, try tossing your keys or some other small weighted object slowly from left hande to right and back again. make sure you breath while doing this. It will help o reconnect (or keep) the connection between the two sides.

Good luck with this!

Prayers on the way Daniel.

I will add you to my prayers every day.

Hope you feel better soon.

I know a little bit about what you are going through, lately these trucks are really stressing me out! I thought I was going to crack the other nite when the cold front blew in with 50mph gusts, cold air and having to soap, rinse, soap, brush the trucks by myself with the lights not working after having discussions with the supervisor about them not working and him assuring me that they were fixed.

:banghead::mad::shout::shocked2:

Things keep piling up little bit by little bit. Seems like almost every time I go there to work there are other issues or problems that just aggravate me. O well. Life goes on.

Take care Daniel, give me a call when you get a chance.

Daniel,
I hope you get ahead of this.
I had an employee with similiar symptoms. She stopped working. I saw her the next year. It turned out to be a liver problem. She had a liver transplant and all the anxiety attacks ended. She is a new person. That blew me away.

If it's a lot worse in the winter look into Seasonal Affective Disorder.
