Would you be offended by this?

Hello everyone, In order to drum up new business with potential clients that normally wont give you the time of day, cant get past the front desk or normally dont work out of the location you want to clean, I have started to take some pictures of the propertys and their problem areas and I am looking to send some emails in the nicest way possible to make them aware how we can be a solution to their headache or their problem. Of course I will try to keep my email on a positive note so they dont feel like I am throwing egg on their face, but sometimes it looks like people have blinders on or maybe they just go use to seeing all that gum on their sidewalk, the oil next to their parking spots, or the coffee stains next to the trash can by the entrance of thier building and it just seems normal to them.
Like I said before, I dont want them to get upset, feel offended or burn any bridges.
Would you be offended by this sale Tactic? Would you appreciate someone taking the time and effort to get your Business? Has anyone had any experience similar to this before I start sending out the emails? or should I just start sending them and expect the best, after all most of these places I cant get in touch with the person that makes the calls face to face or by phone.

If I was a PM I wouldnt be offended. I would wonder why my maintenance guys hadnt thought about cleaning thee areas.

I have thought about taking pictures of peoples roofs and photoshopping them clean and sending a postcard saying "this is what your oof looks like, and this is what it could look like", but I figured that might be creepy that someone is taking pictures of their house. I think for commercial, it would work well though.

Just make sure you are sending to the Right Person or you will be wasting your time, with that said it does work and I have used it before to show them what they are getting for their money and in these times with cut backs they want the most bang for their buck.

Thanks I will try it out and let you guys know how it goes

I was trying to show PMs the hack work for a while and it isn't easy. They don't want to know that their cheap service is no good. They seem to get really caught up in saving money and don't want to know about what's really going on.

I came across a better way this week. We set up a vendor presentation at a local Real Estate company meeting. I want to do a demo by cleaning the store front sidewalk of the real estate companies office. The office is located in a large center we've been trying to get. I called the PM to ask permission and he was delighted to hear about the free clean. This was the same PM that wouldn't give us the time of day in the past. He even said that he would come down to watch the demo himself.

What I'm trying to say here is to think outside the box. Coming out and showing someone that they are getting a crappy job isn't always going to be well accepted. Think of a way to show them that doesn't point fingers at the competition.

Thats the way to go these days, "Think outside the box" the business is out there we just got to find a creative way of getting it.
