Wooden toys vs. plastic toys: which is better for a child?

Wooden toys have always seemed to me more cozy and pleasant. They do not overload the child with bright colors and sounds, as many plastic analogs do, and at the same time, they are much more durable. For example, we have a wooden constructor, which was passed down from the older child to the younger one, and it is still in excellent condition. Yes, plastic can be more convenient in terms of maintenance, but wooden toys give a completely different tactile sensation and look aesthetically pleasing.

One day, I noticed my son's toys were plastic and wondered what I could change. I wanted something not just beautiful but safer and more pleasant. I looked for wooden toys, but I didn't like the usual cubes or cars, but something with personality. That's how I found Voo Puzzle, where they make personalized wooden toys, which turned out to be perfect! I chose a personalized puzzle for my son, and he immediately loved it - it's nice to hold in my hands, the parts are smooth, and seeing his name on the toy was very important for the child. N often choose wooden toys because they are more durable and safer.

I am not against plastic, but I am increasingly convinced that wooden toys are on a whole other level. They are durable, natural, and, most importantly, do not contain harmful chemicals. My daughter likes to chew on toys, and I am at least calm with wood, unlike plastic. Yes, and in general, wooden toys seem to be “warmer” and more pleasant than soulless plastic analogs, especially when it comes to the baby's first toys.
