Who is the expert on restoring Wood Shake Roofs.

I would like to spark up some conversation on this.

What are the advantages and disadvantages?

There seems to be a lot of money in it - Why is there so little talk about it.

Not a lot of conversation about cedar shake roofs on this board. This is something that I am going to pursue. Maybe once I learn more about it and get some jobs under my belt, I can share my experiece with the board.

Hi, although i'm new here, I just thought i'ld tell you about a guy I talked to the other day. He's Chris Detter over at Sun Brite In Atlanta. We talked a little about wood and he mentioned his company was about to do a shake roof. He sounded real knowlagable about wood. Sounds Like thier system is realy easy. I am new also. We new guys have to stick togethor and share information that we learn. Help each other out. Some questions are trivia to the old timers and they have probably answer the same questions over and over. We should attempt to help each other out as much as possible on this board. Like I said, I am new, please email me with any questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
