Wolf or Coyote?

I know the answer now, but it took a little research. This isn't what I'm used to seeing in Las Vegas. What do you think?

Looks like a fox to me.

I am going to have to say that is a wolf pup. The thing that gives it away for me is the thickness of the hair on the jowls/cheeks, thickness of the fur, eyecolor and the markings around the eyes. Coyotes are normally more uniform color. I guess you are going to say that the wolves are supposed to be extinct too.

This guy walked down the road within 6 ft of our car. I went to bed convinced it was a coyote last night, but now I'm having second thoughts.

I've never seen a coyote stroll like this and his legs are thicker than any coyote I've ever seen in the southwest. (this one is in the northwest in the Cascade Mountains) He's just got a different gait from any coyote I've ever seen, but yet if he is a wolf pup his eyes aren't the right color. I thought wolf pups always had blue eyes at first.

I was just gonna give him some scratchy head if he had come over. Lol.

That sound to the right at the last second may have been his mama.

So you guys think it was a wolf? It just walked along not giving a darn about us driving by. I thought it was a wolf right away too because I've never seen a coyote walk like that or not run away quick when people come around.
