This roof is too steep can I do this from the ground or do it from a ladder. I haven't done but a couple of roofs. I have a 5800 12 volt pump from Bob. This is the roof

Yes, the apple cider will work great on that roof.

What are the lighter spots? Are they just leaves on the roof or are they the mustard mold?

Yes it is leaves and it does have some moss on the back. Can you do this from the ground

I thought it was Applesauce? Now I'm all confused....

Mike, that Roof can be shot very easily from the Roof line on a ladder. Use a 0030 or a 0040 for a tip to shoot with and just let it run down. All I ever use for Shingle Roofs like that for a mix is SH, Liquid Soap (Dawn Original) and water. Use A LOT of soap to get it to stick. You'll do fine!

Mix on a roof like that I'd go 60% SH 40% H20 and Plenty of soap. Let mother nature do the rinsing. They will have a brand new Roof and love you to death.

??- Are you using 12.5% Sh or store bought 6%? If store bought 6% your mix ratio's are gonna be a whole lot different.

Apple Cider calls for alchohol in the mix. I tried it once and didn't like it. It worked just about the same. Difference was I thought I was gonna die from the fumes. :(

Thanks for the help and yes I am using 12.5% sh

Larry does it not take your cost up if you buy big bottle alchohol say to bottle dish soap.
You still have to use soap even with the alchohol so it's actually costing more $$.

What about the moss he mentioned, any extra attention to that?
The moss will shrival up, die and eventually be washed off by the rain. If it's really bad I would hit it with a second dose before finishing up but if yor mix is strong enough it should kill it on the first pass.

The fumes are extremely toxic and I dont need the added liability added to the job, the mix mentioned has been the best all around for us so far.

+100 :)
Also just to add as a CAUTION: This mix needs to be kept in a WELL VENTALATED tank and not an completely enclosed tank or under pressure such as a pump up sprayer. Can you say BOOM!!!!

Thanks Larry thatis how I was trying say with soap and alchol it adds up so why not use the "kiss" meth keep it simple just use 12% and good amount soap.

Roof Magic and a Pitch Witch...........OH, and $.02....make it $.50
