Why Conventions work.

Its amazing to be around people that who are so determined to make Conventions work that failure to do so is not in there vocabulary. Coming off the PWNA Convention which I though was a major success I can't say enough about how great it is to be around people that have the same concerns, goals and interest that I have in my business.

Starting with the bb's its great to post with people in this industry that can relate to what I go thru in my everyday running of my business. The next step above this is the Roundtables which are the best bang for the buck. Its great going to them so we can meet in person to discuss once again about the runnings of our business and how to be more successful in what we do. Its nice to know when your at these roundtables that where not alone in our trial and tribulations. This is Ron Musgraves idea for the industry that really works.

The step above these roundtables to me are the Conventions. At these you meet the most dedicated and energetic people in this industry. You make new friends and meet old friends that you have made in the industry thu-out the country. Its great to go to the classes and to also meet up later in the night at a bar in anywhere USA to talk shop and to share experiences. This to me is priceless. I can only talk so much to my wife about my business but then I need to reach out to those around the country to talk some more and its these guys/gals that really connect because we are the ones doing the work to make our businesses successful.

As my title above states there are some real big reasons why Conventions work.To get right to as why they do the number one reason that I have seen is because of the absolute dedication that some of the people that I have met that have put in the time and effort and the attitude of refusing to fail to make these conventions fly.

I could name quite a few individuals that are so dedicated in this process and I am thankful for all of them but since I don't want to make a book out of this post I just want to name the ones at the very top of my list of what I have seen first hand that makes the Convention work. They are in no particular order are..Joe Walters, Robert and Micheal Hindeliter,Doc Riesman, Paul Horsley, Jim Grady, Pete Marentey, Jean Hendryck and quite a few others that have gave this industry more then they can ever expect to get in return..But there is one that has stood out above all in my few years being involved and I can't even say that I have agreed with every position that this person has taken. In all my experiences in the military and about 20 yrs as a police officer and 11 yrs as a powerwasher..oh yea and 6 yrs as an officer in my Union..I never met a guy as dedicated to a certain field as this guy is to Powerwashing....Everett Abrams!! Here's a guy that is so dedicated and relentless in his pursuit to make things work. His energy in doing so is off the charts. He stands above all in his dedication and even though people at times may not agree with him there's nobody that I have met in this industry who has ever questioned his work ethic and dedication to make things better for all. This is in my opinion as to why Everett won the PWNA's highest honor which is the Robert Hindeliter award. Its people like Everett and the others that make Conventions work. This can be said for alot of Conventions if the right people are involved. Dedicated people is....what makes these Conventions work............
