Who wants to go?

Matt,
Read the 'Why ISC...' section. It is replete with erroneous statements - shades of Rusty Ace! Not again!
Richard

California is open-I didn't know that NFPA was a Federal regulation. With Rusty doing his NFPA thing-who knows-this could be phase 2 of his world wide tour of the Hood Guys(yellow truck)

I run into their hood tags all the time, they are like any other large grease company, it depends what crew you get.

WHAT A LOAD! Holy smokes this is worse than Russy!
100,ooo smackers. LOL LOL

Sound's like Fire Master

Take a look at this page Racer:

He is selling kitchen exhaust cleaning dealerships for $50-$100k. The meeting is a seminar that explains why you should buy the program. There is other stuff that is included but $100,000 to start a kitchen exhaust cleaning company is a bit out of my league.
Maybe they just changed there name? Fire Faster, oops I mean Fire Master used to do the same thing and sell franchises for a outrageous amount and then still want 50% of your gross.

Well, I can finally peep in. This so called Mr. Bradley was and could not be a invester/General Manager of The Outback Steakhouse in Rehobeth Beach because I personally know the owner of both. He is a liar. Period. The same owner owns both the Ocean City location and just opened the Rehobeth beach location in 2000.

Wow. Reading that article made me forward it to the real owner and if I was him, I would sue for misrepresentation.

I must say that Greg did sell the Ocean City location in 2001 after he got the Rehobeth Beach location up and running. But for the inquiring minds, the owner is a gentleman named Greg McCarty and he never had a GM by the name of Jason Bradley.....

If you can sell it.......sell it, but I ain't buyin. I'd say a territory like L.A. should bring at least $100,000.:D

They must do the sales for you for that price, it would be interesting to hear how this program works.

I'll throw in 5 bucks. I'd do more, but I'm saving up to buy a sales machine.

Hey Matt, why dont we get together and create an exhaust cleaners university? With all the expertise here in California, and the siteseeing being slightly better here than it is in Tennessee it could be a big hit.

I like it-lets do it. Low air fare, Hollywood, Knotts Berry Farm, Disneylannd. All they have is Dollyworld and ok barbque.

Professor David... I like the sound of it!

A week in the Northern California "campus" and a week in the So. Cal "campus", training provided by three different companies for a good perspective of it all.
Okay how much?

Training a service tech in Calif would leave a large gap in education. What about servicing/testing standpipes in sub-zero temps? Would you learn how to carry & use rock salt to descend a frozen ladder? What to do about frozen hoses, etc? What about heating the outside of fans before attempting to clean the discharge aprons/catchments? Special requirements for altitudes in excess of 10,000 feet? Nah, Calif is out - besides it will cloud up and smog nearly every day. Real greasers can cut it - Colorado is the place learn how to be a real greaser. A RETCH certification will get you started right.

Hey, what about my NFPA (National Fling Powder Association)? Powder is available in different colors, to match the building. No rock salt needed, no frozen hoses, no heating sheet metal before cleaning. Dealer ships for a mere $25,000.00.

I'll kick in $20.00 if you give me a copy of the federal law that requires hood cleaning.

NFPA is a guideline that may or may not be adopted by state or local authorities. In California, we have tha California Code of Regulations and Title 19 is the section on public safety. Title 19 says what the state requires and local AHJ's can accept that but can add whatever else they want as long as it meets the states minimum.
As for a federal requirement of NFPA. dont hold your breath. As of now so many states are dropping NFPA and going with the IBC and IFC. If there will ever be a federal requirement it in all probability wont be NFPA (its all politics)
It is a wait and see situation for everyone.

I left them a little message challenging their "Federal Law" statement. But havent heard back from them yet. Maybe they will just change the copy and leave it at that.
Go to one of your customers or accounts and tell them it is "Federal Law" and see what happens. You will be laughed right out the door.

Josh,

Be careful. Some "sales machines" can be very difficult to work with and cost a lot of money to run.
They require a full size late model company truck.
Some only work about 3 days a week, rarely when it is cold or raining outside and never on hoildays.

They also need state of the art digital cameras, a laptop computer and the best photo editing softwaremoney can buy-- oh I forgot you already have this part covered.:D
