Whitco Battery Not Charging

Hey John.. Yep Me again... Do you remember the Whitco I have? It has the 13 hp Honda .. Well we took the little lawnmower battery off of the unit sometime ago and put a 750cca car battery in it's place. After you start the machine about 10 or 15 times the battery just doesnt have enough juice to start the motor..I though about just plugging up a battery charger and keeping it charged but I wonder what could be making this thing not charge ?
The motor is a 13 HP Honda with electric start.. The Cable are Brand New.
The Battery will hold a Charge when I use my trickle Charger , and I always remember to turn the key off when I am thru with the machine... Will this be an easy fix or did I need to go to the Honda Repair Shop ? Thanks for any info
 
just had this problem
the heater was takin all the juice
it was the small enigine equivalant of the alternator
 
John, could be the regulator on the Honda. If you have an ohm meter, I can post the test procedure for you.
 
Thanks Russ I am going to check it out tommorrow .. Just got back from ichiban chinese restaurant tonight from my birthday meal.. Oh it was great.. I got some shirts and stuff and my little girl gave me a coffee cup and get this I got some Just for Men hair color... All in all it was a good day.. But I will check this out tommorrow ...
