What's in your toolbox?

I'm trying to fill my toolbox with everything I might need in the field (tools and gadgets like quick connects etc...). If you guys/gals don't mind, could you post what your toolbox consists of. And this also applies to things you should carry with you, that you might need and won't fit in a toolbox.

Could you also be specific as in what brand you use, and why. I assume most of the veterans here have gone through several different brands and have settled on the ones you are currently using. What do you consider the best (Types scewdrivers, pliers, quick connects. etc...) Thanks. I want to start off with things that will work when I need it, will last, and won't let me down. That means spending more money and not buying the cheapest thing, which I am guilty of. For example the quick connects I am buying corrode, and don't last a month. The guns I am buying don't last. Probably because of the SH!

Fire Extinguisher, qty 2 of each coupler and plug MPT and FPT, qty 2 of injectors for each machine, orings, welding tip tool, spare j-rods, spare SC nozzles, adjustable wrenches, sockets sets...vise mounted to trailer rail. more and more I'm sure as well. oh and teflon tape!
hey Matt. Do you use stainless quick connects? Viton orings? GP nozzles? or spraymaster? What brand of tools Craftsman? Husky?

Yes stainless imports…….yes vitons…… stainless mpeg nozzles……..tools are a mix of husky, northern, pittsburgh, kobalt ….. I haven't set foot in a sears in years… same warranty elsewhere……. I am always looking at what is on sale and clearance…I always carry a leathermen as well. .. really though… adjustable wrenches and pair of vise grips are great.. especially if you have a vise on the trailer or truck…. I'm sure I am missing something…… hose clamps and garden hose repair kits...

I use them until they are trashed….. some last longer than others…… I also use the dow 111 lube… idk if it really helps…. If a coupler no longer clicks….. work it and change it……. there are plenty of opinions as far as using brass or Stainless

Man I hope these stainless last longer than the brass, I really can't tell if the little balls inside are stainless or not. I guess I could go to an xjet and avoid the corrosion that comes with downstreaming.

NA!!.. I hate the extra hose and bucket of the Xjet…. PITA! I have one and use it when its needed….. But try like hell not to have to use it!

Stainless steel is worth the extra money IMO. They last longer, and seem to connect easier without constantly having to be lubed. If you do use brass couplers though, use Legacy. The brass ones still have stainless steel on the connector part. For guns, I like the Suttner ST 2605.

Wd40, bolt blaster, starting fluid and extra oil go into a battery box.
Tool bag has ratchet set, ratcheting wrenches, adjustable wrenches, Chanel locks, Teflon tape, o-rings, short wands, guns, spare injectors, injector rebuild kits, parts box that I keep nozzles in, multi-purpose tool (I'm too cheap to buy a letherman) screw drivers (one is insulated) and snap ring pliers for changing o-ring on swivel for surface cleaner.
Center punch and a gutter ball (don't know why those are in there)

A second tool bag has spare unloaders, spare gun, a parts box that has extra couplers and plugs (all stainless) and water hose repair kits. Spare surface cleaner bar and swivel, Spare caps for chemical drums. 12v tester, grease gun, hammer, rubber mallet, assorted hex driver set, more wrenches, assorted fittings and more.

Tool box, wrench set, screw driver set, adjustable wrenches, vise mounted on a small bench.

In the cab in another box, spare unloaders, thermostats, flow switch, a couple extra new guns, $400 in nozzles of different sizes and fan types.

Organizers I have pump rebuild seals, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 o rings for quick connects. 10 quick connects both female and male threads and female and males connections. High pressure tee's, street elbows, nipples, female connectors mostly in 3/8 with 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch reducers and bushings. Loads of teflon tape, electrical tape, wire cutters, crimpers, 2 sizes of butt connectors, 3/8 washers/ lock washers, nuts, and bolts. Spark plugs, air/fuel filters, oil for the pumps, pressure washer engine, generator, and truck.

There is probably more, but I carry enough to fix almost anything that can happen in the field.

Chad, is the gutter ball any good? Does it make a big mess?

No any Yes.
However, we did plug one end and use it to clean the edge of the docks we did in my video below. Probably why it's still in there.
