Im bidding on this project to clean this machine that makes drain culvurts. Also the concrete floor surrounding it.
The floor and machine are stained from hydraulic oil. What would be a good chemical to clean them with?

The machine is going to be repainted.

Thanks.

if they are going to repaint it I wold use a good degreaser, I can give you 5 gallons of what I use if you want.. I can meet you down the road somewhere.

Cover and tape up anything that you don't feel comfortable getting wet. Electric motors, control panels. make shure its unplugged

Excellent advice. Isolate the circuit that powers the machine, tag the switch and lock it out (get the maintenance department to assure this is done properly. Then bag all the motors, switches, etc.

Prep for paint means you need to ensure that equipment is 100% oil free.

Make sure to post pictures of the results.

Daniel I appreciate the offer but this job is south of where I live and I dont plan on being up that way anytime soon. Thanks again.

Im on top of the precautionary things guys. I just need to know what works good to clean hydraulic oil.

Thanks.

Z Greaser is a great, environmentally friendly product available from Envirospec. Unlike caustics, you won't need to worry about damaging rubber seals, insulation on electrical lines, etc. And is a superb degreaser.
