Last year I had the opportunity to bid a $$$$$$$ contract with Watkins Glen Speedway.Went to bid the job,then my contact hands me the INSURANCE requirements.I about crapped Larry the cable guy!!!They had the town,county,half the farmers,business entities ad nausem...listed.I talked to my insurance co.,they said they couldn't(or wouldn't do it)write the policy!I did get ahold of a co.that was willing to write it,but they wanted my homeowner's,car ins,contractor's...everything.They were calling me while I was hanging out of windows to get ss#,vin #,sphincter size,etc.
I live in the people's republic of NY.There has been a law passed within the last year or so,called "the ladder and scaffold act or law".I was told by ins agent that this is the reason for these new requirements.Etc...Has anyone else run into this communist crap?If so,please drop me a line and let me know what you know.Thanks.
