Here's a project we just completed. It was a fence inside and out and a small deck. We stripped all of it. Homeowner applied Behr three years in a row to this wood. HD-80 removed it, and we sealed it with Wood Tux, Warm Honey Gold. Coverage was about 200 Sq. Ft. to the gallon!!! Rod loves this product.

Enjoy!

Here's a deck we did with Wood Tux Western Cedar. It was stripped with HD-80, and had CWF on it previously.

Rod estimated coverage at about 175 to 200 sq. ft. per gallon on this job! Great coverage!

And this combo deck and fence was stripped also. We used HD-80 to strip, Citralic to neutralize, and then sealed it with Wood Tux Warm Honey Gold. The prior company had put several different products on the wood, and then couldn't strip it. They were using nothing but high pressure and water! No wonder! The home owners are now quite happy!

Coverage was about 200 sq. ft. to the gallon on this job too.

Part trex, part wood....

Thanks Justin :)

Here are a few more... as we run between the raindrops!

This two level PT lumber deck was all wood on top, and the spindles in the staircase and lower deck were also wood, while the rails caps and floor below were trex. We sealed it up with Wood Tux Western Cedar.

Large cedar deck...

Here's a large cedar deck we did, sealed up with Wood Tux Western Cedar. The homeowner had applied Behr (solid) to it, and it was stripped using HD-80, neutralized with Citralic.

Large PT lumber deck we did...

Here's a large PT lumber deck we did. It wrapped around the house on two sides. The photo is before sealing and after, with Wood Tux Western Cedar.

Ever pass a home or townhome with a beautifully finished deck and wonder....
1. who did it
2. what they used
3. and if the neighbors were going to go with them too? (maybe you estimated in the area and didn't get it)

Since we began using Wood Tux, our referrals have skyrocketed above normal levels, which were very high already.

Now then, how many looked HORRIBLE to begin with, perhaps were even strip jobs that would make most guys cringe and run? Half of them? So...the neighors see a deck go from hopeless looking to wonderful. Many of the photos above were strip jobs. TOUGH strip jobs.

This 3 year old PT lumber deck was mistreated by a company that used nothing but high pressure and no solutions to clean it. It was then sloppily sealed in some areas only. We stripped it, using HD-80 and brightened/neutralized it with Citralic acid. We went back today and sanded both the floor and hand rails to remove the raised grain where the heartwood had been dug out by the other company and defurred the spindals. Then we sealed it up with Wood Tux in the Warm Honey Gold.

Wood Tux after 3 month and lost of rain!

Here's a shot of a deck done in April. We took the photo while leaving another property that was nearby and having the same thing applied. We have done 7 there so far. (that I remember off the top of my head)

After 3 months of rain, this deck looked great!

questions

Beth and Rob

The wood tux looks great, I would love to know how it is applied and how much you're charging a square foot?

Also, I'm going to be using Steve's roof magic and deck brite. Would wood tux be compatible?

thanks

Hi Bruno,
You can apply it in a variety of ways. You can pad, brush, roll, or spray it via pump up or airless. Works really well with 200 PSI or less.

If you are going from base to acid, which I believe you are with those to products, then you'll be fine so long as you rinse the brightener well.

Email me if you would like a sample kit.

Company name

They're free. I'll send you a wood care sample kit tor try.

14 out of 16 posts are yours, beth. Is there no end to your pimping?

Trevor,
This thread is basically a photo album designed for folks to see the results of the product on various jobs.
Have a great day.

Here's a trex deck we did the verticals on. They were sealed with Wood Tux Warm Honey Gold.
