What can I use a small pw for?

I've got a craftsman 8.75 hp 2.7 gpm cold pw that I only used about 5 times before I got the Landa.

Are you guys using these for anything? Can I convert it into something more useful? Have youg guys done anything creative with them?
 
you can always use it to wash your car or pool deck. I sold mine and regretted it. Its nice knowing you can cart around a small machine.

That's what I thought too, but I haven't used it at all.
 
use it to clean a roof its light enought to cary up the roof.:D
 
I have a 5.5Honda (without pump) in the garage and wondered the same thing, best ideas I had was to put the biggest volume pump for the engine shaft size, or the maximun direct drive generator.

I was leaning towards the latter. Always good to have an extra power source.

Got to have a tapered shaft to mount a generator head...sorry.
 
you can clean a roof with it

i have a 3gpm that is primarily my backup unit. but, i have cleaned roofs with it. how? the mix ratio of a 3gpm using an x-jet/m5 is 1.2:1 and therefore giving you enough shc% to clean a roof. this unit can also be a backup unit for your roof cleaning pump. some roofs are ideal for the m5 and the fan spray makes some nice really nice foam. watch the over spray!

Anyone ever use one of the sludge pumps accessories added to a small PW? I think they run around 11 to 1. I've wondered if they would work as a recovery pump.

I have the sludge pump and it works great!

Not sure if it will work with a smaller machine but you could try it out.

There are other options for recovery pumps, tell me more about the situation or give me a call.

I like the idea of a belt drive generator, less heat transfer and vibration to the generator.

Russ, what size generator could you run with a little 5 or 6hp engine?

How much would it cost to do or would it be better to just go buy one?

I also have a 5 or 6hp honda in the garage that I would like to do this with if it is cheaper than buying the whole generator at the store.

Use it as an x-jet machine.The smaller the gpms the closer you get to true 1-1 mix.

Set it up on the strip and cool people off with it in the summers out there,kinda like the mister fans but bigger.Then if you find someone who has been out partying all night and they don't want to stop to shower ,just downstream a little dial soap and deodorant on em quick rinse and send them on their way.Carwashs for people.IT'S GONNA BE HUGE!

2,500 watts or so.

Definitely not worth it.
