TUSCALOOSA, AL (AP) - Alabama football has the national championship trophy and a newly expanded stadium that seats 101,000 people. Now, if it just had spellcheck.

Alabama tickets for the upcoming season include an embarrassing mistake: The university misspelled the word "Mississippi" on tickets for the Nov. 13 home game against Mississippi State, using just one `p' instead of two.

Alabama sports publicist Doug Walker said Thursday there was what he calls an "unfortunate oversight" during the editing process. He says officials are reviewing what happened and trying to prevent the same thing from occurring again in the future.

I heard that on sports radio yesterday! All I could think was, GREAT now we have to hear about that from everybody!! But who cares if they can spell or not?? Long as everyone can add 7+7+7+7+7+7+7+7+7 thats all that matters this year!!! HAHAHA

Yeah, it's not like universities are about book-learning or smartening or nothing boring like that!

Ahh, the beauties of a 'bama education... I love the south.

As long as they can spell #1 National Champions correctly. Too bad the mistake couldn't have been on the Auburn tickets and said "The University of Auburn" which is how Saban referred to those guys...now that would have been funny! RTR
