Here was a project that took me a couple days and was very easy to do.It was a $70 kit to prime and paint/topcoat that I pick up at Wally world. It's from www.gianigranite.com

That turned out very nice!

Any special tools/equipment to do that?

Great job as always Shane.

Thanks Chris...the kit has everything except the painters tape . They say to clean your cabinets with SOS pads and rinse them real good. Oh wood putty to fix cracks or a seam and 600 grit sand paper for in between clear coats. If I had to do it again I would have another sponge. It got soggy and I lost some texture.

Another good job

Wow thats really cool Shane. Was that laminate on there originally?

Thanks guys...

Yeah Charlie it was same original fake wood looking laminate from the 80's i'm guessing.

Looks good. I owe my wife granite counters in our kitchen after a making some home brew one weekend. My sanitizer ate some of the top layer of the laminate counter in two different spots. Maybe next time she goes out of town I will do this and see what she says.

You can't beat it for $70 and they have different colors to match your cabinets. They even have a cabinet paint kit if you want to change your cabinet color.

Well compared to the sqft price of granite it's worth showing her the giani web site and save tons of $$.
