Can someone contact me about water tower cleaning. I just got a call on 2 towers. 150' each.....Headed up to see the contact next week and was wanting to get some info before going.

I have a friend who owns a tower climbing company and I have climbed for him before. I'm also a Rope Rescue Tech for the fire department. What info are you looking for? Climbing and Rigging Info or Cleaning Info? I've never cleaned any but I have been on several

sounds like fun, I need to find some of those and get my fat a@@ hanging off the sides of one on a little chair. It seems like fun to pull the trigger and make your own swing-set until you let off of the trigger and smack the side of the tower. LOL

Better have the right insurance in place if you take on this type of work. Also you can rent those 150' lifts that can be brought to the site but the rental company since there most likely no way for you to tow one of those huge lifts. If you want to sub out the work or just get a finders fee call Tony Szabo and tell him I sent ya. He is the king at these water towers.

I left a message for Tony..... Fyi The rental for a 120 lift isn't bad. The jump to a 140-160 is off the charts. My brothers runs a united rental store .....After he told me the price I told him i was looking for a new brother.lol Lifts are dirt cheap in this economy expect for the big one's.....

Thanks guys.

If I remember correctly, a 150 footer was like 8-10K a month or week, I forget but something crazy like that

I have worked several times out of 120' when I was in the union, even with the out riggers it swayed big time, not for the faint of heart

Big bucks for sure

Lou, I worked out of Spider lifts/baskets and swing staging on many many many water tower, tanks etc etc, Spider basket or swing stage might be the best way, since its 150' you are talking about
Good luck

Awesome picture Tony. If you can do that one, anything else is a piece of cake! I don't believe I could go over 100'.

I always had a rule of thumb on heights. Double my height and thats it!!! so for a guy who is 5 foot nothing...A step ladder will be enough for me...

Just messing around. I have seen guys do this type work. No thanks for me. And I think John said it best...make sure about your insurance. I called to update my workmans comp and now they wont issue workmans comp if you are even doing roofs. So be careful about that...
