Water Restrictions

Tim,
I have seen a definite drop on the residential side. I believe this is due to the combination of water restrictions and vacation time. I did some jobs in Cabarrus County, which is much worse off than Mecklenburg and was told that all commercial applications were exempt. We can only hope the same will apply here if and when the restrictions go into effect.
 
thanks for the replies,i am busier than ever up here,i worked over 100 hours last week and i am still so far behind i might start losing work.
 
timhays. if you think you might lose work i might be interested in helping you out. i am in raleigh and i believe everyone here is scared of water restrictions (i have had no calls) i checked and was told restrictions didnt apply to commercial customers or power washers.

i did hire a guy full time last week for my home improvement buisness so that has caught me up somewhat,i also lost $12,000 worth of estimates between both buisnesses this week that i thought was a sure thing.

i still have plenty to do but i am staying right on top of it at the moment.

also this is the first of the month,i am sure by the 8th i will be swamped again

Warren,i seen on the news a developer in Cabbarus county had received multiple fines and eventually had his water turned off and locked,for not obeying the water restriction.

get this i had a customer call me today and told me she felt bad about calling me out to wash her house because it was so hot.

From what I can see, there is a feeling among the residential customers that they cannot have any washing done. Even though we are exempt, there is peer pressure neighbor to neighbor, at least in some communities.

Did you charge her the Heat Index Surcharge? I'd say an extra 15% should cover it!!
 
yes i can understand the peer pressure factor amongst neighbors,
hmmm i didnt know about the heat index surcharge,i will implement that into our company policy immediately.
