Visitors while cleaning sidewalks

I was cleaning a small strip mall last night. I was able to work around the Starbucks and Subway so I started about 8:00. The last person left Subway about 10:30 and I was about 30 min from being done. I heard Fire trucks coming from 2 directions and I thought that they were headed top the shopping center across the road but instead they stopped in to see me. Someone driving by saw the steam from the pressure washer and called in they saw smoke coming from the building.
Some excitement to finish the night. I told them I would have came to them to wash the trucks, they didn't think it was funny.

You would think that if someone is calling the fire department for a fire they would have seen fire and maybe checked to see if anyone needed help!!!!

We've had it a few times when we are blowing parking lots prior to street sweeping. There sometimes is a fair bit of dust kicking up. We wash the building afterwards of course.

Had a fire truck pull up a couple of weeks ago at a retail/office plaza we were doing a building wash at - same situation as Russ, alarm system silent, not disabled... We bagged and taped all fire pull stations and alarm points, but water seeped into one and set off system.

They were not too happy - turns out the wind and rain is always setting off this system.

I have met many a firemen up and down the East Coast for all sorts of reasons...lol

At least it wasn't 20 cops with guns drawn demanding you to come off the roof and stop stealing copper -

with a 60 ft lift -

and the name of your company and phone number plastered all over the truck and the lift -

and a hot water unit running.

Geniuses.

I somehow set off the silent alarm at a bank once and got to meet a couple from the Sheriff's dept.

Havent had the Fire Dept come by just mostly Hookers especially when we are in Nashville.

Why were you using a hot water unit to steal copper, unless you were powering your sawzall? :)
