Dang everyday I wake up and then go out at night to clean something breaks..
Just this month .. Hose blew out.. ( New Hose ) bought.. Then the Swivel went out on my hose reel. , The the thermal relief valve went bad, then my new hose started leaking again at the swivel end, then last night st-2000 gun exploded in my hand, and my flow switch stopped working right.. I figure I spend about 200.00 a month just in parts for the machine alone.. Not including oil changes and fuel...

What about everyone else ... ???

John,
Help your business. If you have a business plan, allow so much in your planning for replacement cost. Add a # to each job to pay for the parts and equipment for tommorrow. We will always have to buy something. The money you make as profit should include something for replacement. You are correct, even the best parts go bad sometime. Thank You.

Oh yeah absolutely. I have had my share of problems. I have purchased new machines, had to replace engines, pumps, etc. I am just referring to recently. Nothing recent. If this cost is overlooked, that will send someone out of business fast.

We are no where close to where we want to be as far as amount of work. We are looking to purchasing another rig within the next 6-8 months.

$200.00 a month sounds like a real bargin to me.

I don't know about the rest of you but I believe there is a little pw'ing rig gremlin that goes out at night and messes with equiptment. I can have a great day with no problems at all and when I pick my rig up for the following days job I find something leaking, wiring that won't run my pump, Get to the job and blow a hose on the first start-up and all sorts of other little problems. I'm thinking of spending a couple of nights in my shop and hiding in the corner and waiting for the little b###ard. :D LOL...I hate sometimes when I feel like my rig is nickel and diming me! I think it knows each time I make any kind of $$.:)

This might be right about the gremlins.. I also think that perhaps stuff is not built tough like it used to be.. I bought a brand new pump up sprayer yeserday and I went out to use it last night and before I could even pump it up good there was a small pin hole in the bottom... What gives ... I mean Hanes can inspect my underware but Gilmour cant inspect my sprayer.. Go Figure..Maybe the gremlins got in the box last night.

John, The Gremlins got into your boxers? LOL :D

I have found that if I carry replacements of most items (hoses, fittings, belts, unloader, guns, etc.) I usually won't need them. If I forget them, or use the last one, you can guarantee that I'll need something.

P.S. If you heat a piece of metal and press it to the pinhole, it will seal the plastic.

Never knew that John thanks for the info.
