What does it cost to replace a set of bearings in a trailer tire?It depends on when you do it.

Bearings-$15.00

Tow truck $125.00

Lost day $1100.00

Watching your tire pass you by when you are taking a shortcut through the "Hood"- priceless

It looks like it was Wilson's that towed your trailer. Did you have them tow it to their place and do the work. I took mine trailer there for bearings once, they told me they were special bearings and it would be about $500 to replace. I took it to Parrish in Daphne and they did it for $125.00

I don't know if they just made a mistake or were trying to hose me. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt after what happened to them, but I would be careful using them again.

Good Luck, let me know if I can help

They towed it to my house.I will be at the door of Bye Rite in the am when they open.A new hub and all is maybe $50.00.I am also gonna get a new axle tie down plate and U bolts.Already have the bearing buddies for it.Factory sealed bearing are a breakdown waiting to happen.

I'm not a big fan of Parrish's I used to rent equipment from them but not any more.

Yall do know of Bye Rite? They build these trailers out on hwy 90 about 5 miles from Roberstdale.

I bought my first trailer from them.....seem to be pretty good people......as far as renting equipment goes I generally go to DRC, they treat me pretty good. I don't get any special deals, but they have been good to deal with

ABC Trailer Parts . com is a good place to look for new hubs with bearings in them. I have 4 sitting here just waiting on a problem to happen like yours. They cost me $125 shipped and I got them in 2 days. Since your somewhat close I suspect they would have them to you in about the same time frame

I have had many of those days!! We had 4 of them happen on three trailers this past year. All my trailers are tamdem axel so we just slowly hobbled it on home on three wheels.

Starting this year ever 6 months all the trailers get a new outer bearing and at the end of the year they get all new bearings, seals, and brakes!!

I hate being broke down on the road. When I was running my hotshot trailer I have fixed a couple wheel bearing sitting on the side of the road. I always had extra bearings and the tools to get r dun!!!

Good luck man and hope you didn't ruin an axel. I've done that too!!

Glad it didn't cause any accidents! My husband lost his rear axle on his flat bed trailer a few years ago in Atlanta rush hour traffic. Amazingly missed the cars in the left hand lane and hit a bridge pylon instead of going into incoming traffic.

That was a fun phone call. I was trying to sleep in. My sister called and said there was some traffic backed up so I would need to leave early. He called and I was like "I know...I know...traffic is bad!" and he was like "Yah...because of me!" lol
