JL Pressure Washing
I am going to be doing a trade show or two and I do meetings and I want to have a professional looking display. Its usually just a 6 foot table up against a wall so I want a display that fits well. I was looking at 3 or 4 fold portfolio type display or a pop up style, something pretty easy set up and have great graphics on it

Does anyone do trade show and do you have any pictures of your displays you can post or email me? jl9055@sccoast.net

Any good ideas for a hook, something to catch the eye of customers. I uaually do on fliers Clean, Beautify & Protect. Its going to be for Condo/apartment and parking garages

Thanks any help would be great

Free Giveaway........It doesn't matter what. Get them to fill out their names and info especially their occupation. Draw name at the end of the show, if you want to. lol You are left with a lot of good contacts.

Some do a free house wash, people with dirty houses sign up. Who knows if you do it or not, or you could not get in touch with the winner.

We always have a giveaway. I always have them put their info and the service they are interested in. Maid Service, Carpet Cleaning, Pressure Washing. That way I know what service to try to sell them when I call. If it was just pressure washing I would have them write down what they need pressure washed the most, so you know before you call them what to start selling with. We have an Otis Spunkmeyer cookie oven that we use while we are at shows. It smells up the place and people come in droves. We cut the cookies in 1/2 sometimes 1/4. before we cook them so they go further. We own ours but I know you can rent them. Here are a few pics of our booth from shows. I have alot of before and after photos laid out on the table usually. That gets their attention and gives you something to start selling with. I must add one of these is from a small local show and the other is from a state home and garden show.

I also should tell you that this is usually to get your name out there. You will sell a little at the show but not much. Where you will make your money is the giveaway contacts. Make sure you follow up with each and everyone. Most of them will enter just to win something but you will have a bunch that actually want service. I think you said this was for commercial so I doubt any of this is much help. I have gotten some commercial work from these shows though. Especially the home and garden show. I really do suggest the cookie thing. It really does draw them in!

I did one when we first got started, to kick off our buisness. We shared a booth with a Dura-Shield distributor. I think it cost us $400.00 a piece back then 15 years ago.

We had it at the Tampa Bay Convention Center, we had give a-way's and prizes. To be honest we didn't get much out of it, dont get me wrong we followed up on all the leads and phone numbers we collected, but everyone was just looking to win something for nothing.

Nick, That is what I said. What I really like is when they come to your booth and take 20 ink pens, 5 cookies, some hand sanitizer and 10 minutes later they come back and do it all again. Right before they leave they stop by one more time just to make sure they got as many things as they could for free. They refuse to fill out a card for a drawing because they don't want you to call them. Even if there is a chance to win something for free. I honestly can say that I would not do another show unless it is for commercial or is extremely cheap. I would rather spend the money on extra advertising. Like I said before, it is mainly to get you name out there. Especially when you are new.
