A great way to introduce your company to new customers is to join their org and have a booth at their shows. I have been a member of CAI for 3 years now ( Thank you Jeff L). Once you have found your target market weather it be restaurants, gas stations, shopping centers, HOA's, Factory's, trucking Co's. Find out the Orgs that represent them and join. Many org's have local chapters you can get involved in. It adds credibility and helps you market to the members. Some chapters are better than others so visit a few and find out which ones have a good turn out by the decision making members. People love giveaways so always do a drawing! You get their info for a chance for them to win a prize. Gift cards are great but don't even try $25 gift cards. I have seen people just pass by and go to the table with $100 gift cards. Last year I gave away a free 1-hour Spa treatment and had a masseuse in the booth giving back and neck rubs. This year it was an ipad. People where doing double takes and everyone came by to drop their info to be in the drawing.
A word of advice don't try to man the booth all day by yourself.
I had a few PM's that came by to say hello that ended up selling my services to PM's from another company. It's a great thing get involved and it shows and implies that you know their business and what their needs are.
