Today is the BIG day

There are certain people that like to brag how much they make, but only have $20,000 in declared income. Maybe you could consult with them.

I usually end up with a small refund. My wife hates owing taxes at the end of the year, so, even though she knows it is not the smartest financial management, she tries to get about a $500 refund at the end of the year. Sometimes we get more, and we had a serious discussion when it was a $20k refund, but usually it is right about there.
 
Wow Russ, you're an early bird! We don't even file our extension till April 15th. We've been filing extensions for a while now. An advisor told us extensions have a 50% less chance of being audited. I don't know if that's true or not. We've made it four years now.

(for the record we have a legal reason to file extensions, at least two of Shelly's customers get DMV fees and her fees mixed up and send her her the wrong 1099. It's never corrected by April 15, we just don't pursue it very hard and file an extension.)
 
I will be getting mine back here in the next week from the CPA :shakehead:

He told me to buy something too or give it to the New Welfare Plan we have going on in this country, so I gave it to My Welfare Plan in the form of another new Truck :shocked2: :grin-angelic:
 
Lets hope the botom line in 2010 is better than it was in 2009...

My accountant always lets me know where I'm at in November so I can adjust the amount I have to pay, seems to work out pretty good.
