Kids now all think the world owes them something so their initial goals are out of reach for most. Example:
Chances of becoming a professional athlete: 24,550 to 1
To put that into perspective:
Chances of being murdered: 19,000 to 1
Video game designer at #2??????? Are you kidding?Chef???? How many chefs does it take to feed a country? These career choices are all led by TV BS.
What happens is these geniuses who don't become sports heroes or movie actors or famous chefs become depressed because they think they are failures. Then they have to take all kinds of antidepressants. If these kids were smart they would have a goal of being a pharmaceutical salesperson!
But look at the difference in 1977. Were these kids that became secretaries and skilled workers failures?
I don't think so.
Just some interesting stuff.
