tiles sidewalk

The job is 13000sq ft of tiles sidewalk. There are some spots with rust stains from the sprinklers which I will hit with oxalic acid. Will the Oxalic Acid be safe for the Delavan FatBoy? Would you use any degreaser for the rest or just hot water should be good enough? The job is scheduled for next Monday.

Thanks!

If you have a tip that can spray a wide pattern a pump up sprayer might be useful for the oxalic and you can make the strength you want. I would use soap to give it a great look.

You can run the OX thru the Delvan, and on the tile I would use a diluted degreaser on that as it is not a pourous surface and it will come right off with heat pretty easy. If it is paver tiles then i would make the mix a little stronger.

IMO you can run the OX through the Delevan if you want but I hope you have an extra one on hand. I've seen too many die out after running acids through them. Running degreaser though it will be fine though.

Hey Larry, How do you usually spray acids like OX. I could use spray up pump but it will be too much of work to refill every 5 mins. In fact I tried to use one before; the most expensive one in the HD store which stopped working after the first use. The price was close to the delavan pump.

An X-jet works pretty good for applying acids in a large area. Just have to be careful and control it properly.

I may not completely understand the functionality of the X-jet, but isn't it some sort of downatreamer? I mix the OX (which comes in powder) 1pound to 1gal water and want to spray it with that dilution so I can achieve good rust stain removal results. Would an x-jet or downstreamer be a good choice since it is made to pull from a concentrate, not diluted mix?

Thanks!
