Tile roof problem

Ive got a roof that Im trying to estimate, but am having a hard time figuring out how I can clean it. The house is 4000 sqft, 2 story tile, but it doesnt have a front, back or side yards. It backs up to a marina parking lot, with a 10 ft drop. The driveway is pavestone, and cant handle the weight of a giant boom. Theres no place for ladders to set up, except in the front and the roof is too steep to walk. The only logical thing I could think of is to get a 90' boom, but nobody around here has a 90' articulating boom and from the angles we would be at a straight boom wouldnt work.. The ony other thing I could think of is hang in by a crane  . I can get some pictures if need be, but I just need some advise! Hope this makes sense.

Pictures Please ?
I have DONE "impossible" roofs before, I used a chicken ladder.
A ladder where the top has rungs that latch on to the peak of the roof.'
Simply take the ladder up to the second story, place it over the roofs peak, and climb on.
Work off the ladder.
EXPLAIN to your customer that this IS an "impossible roof", and you will get it as clean as you can.
Do NOT allow them to insist on a 100 percent perfect job.
You know once you spray, the algae is dead, and will soon fall off, tell them that.
A "Chicken Ladder" may be the only option, lets SEE pics ?

pics of chickens too...

Let's see pictures of everybody's chicken ladders... what style do you use for this??? Or anything where you need to hang off the peak with a chicken style ladder???

Dan

I agree about the photos. Let's see some from all angles and from a little bit away to see how much room there is and how close to the building you can get.

I might have some ideas for you but need pictures first.

NOT in THIS Forum.
I have to go to the roundtable right now, dont have much time.
But I try my best to answer any roof cleaning question :)

Scott, just my thoughts.

Use what ya want, leave the rest.

"Every tool has its place and there is a place for every tool"-dw

(yes you can quote me :)

So, Scott, I know I may gets flamed for this one but, What about a pole and glider system like the ROOF GITTER mfr.d by John R. White or the PITCH WITCH by Ace Cleaning? If you can set up a ladder you may be able to clean from the roof edge or if you can get a long 48' or 60' tele-pole you might consider setting up some scaffold "It backs up to a marina parking lot, with a 10 ft drop"If you can go up the 10', or more and have a solid base at the marina area, you'll be high enough to get your angle right and use these tools to get the job done. Thats exactly what they were designed for, unwalkable, impossible roofs. And if you are bidding on the roof and have charged accordingly for the difficulty level and pitch of this hard to clean roof then if you do not own a PITCHWITCH or ROOF GITTER then you may offset the cost of ownership with this one roof and then you will be able to use these tools on OTHER tough jobs.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Just Curious? What ever happened to the job that started the post? Did you do it? Did you get pics? What was the outcome?
