Yep, chem pump. You'll be sorry, read up on the Air Flow Pumps. You're gonna have trouble with the Comet, for sure.

Gotta agree with ya Guy. I have heard noting but bad things about those. Gettin an air flow myself here in a couple weeks. Those gaser's are expensive too.

Looks like the Roofster from Sunbrite!

Anthony, didn't mean to down your new pump, but the new "Air Diaphragm" set-ups are the way to go. They last a lot longer, and are cheap to rebuild. Whole roof system shouldn't set you back more than $1500-$1800 bucks. Thats compressor, pump, hose, reel, everything.

I'm going to set up a dedicated trailer for roofs next year, and an Air flow will be on it.

Russ do you use the john blue pump from sunbrite supply
No Chris, we are not cleaning roofs anymore at this time.

And to answer your question, no we do not and didnt use the pump from Sunbrite. I never used anything more than a Fatboy pump, it was plenty!

Look at that cute little roofster pump then look at mine again. Latest and greatest from comet!
If its a piece junk ill be sure to tell you. if its the best thing since sliced bread ill let you know too. I'm gonna do some playing around with it tomorrow and ill post on it

Good luck with that.......I tried them all too, The Bandit, Fatboys and they all led me to the Air pumps.....they kick ass, no down time messing with electrical issues, no gas, no issues with pumps and mechanics...just pure roof cleaning bliss.

Thats gota be from the Hotsy guy.....

Go roller pump.....treat the inside with your favorite coating.....and go go go.

Have lots of hours on ours and goes as good as day one.

motor- 110 -- 6.5 hp from Harbour Freight
pulleys, sheves and belts - 60 from Dultmier sales
pump- 360 - from anywhere Tractor Supply, Dultmier. Sprayer Depot ( pumps 22 GPM @ 300 PSI )
frame - do it yourself for-30

I love my Allflo air pump. It handles whatever I've thrown at it. This year it probably pumped nine 55'ers (thats for you, Mike V) of 12% hypochlorite. Then it pumped a lot of that back onto roofs.

Having a nice air compressor on the trailer has it's own advantages also.

What's the GPM on that comet pump? I'd suggest to rinse it out with fresh water everyday after use. Looks nice though.
