My nieces husband is a professor at the Cronkite school of journalism. He had a little to say about tv "journalists", and very little of it was complimentary. He was right in line with what everyone here is saying. It is definitely making his highlight reel of things you can do wrong, like not checking your sources.

Tony this is a joke right? I mean these people can't be that ignorant, can they? I know stupid people exist but that is wwwaaaayyyyy beyond being stupid. Doug Rucker is right, "You can't fix stupid, but you can numb it with a 2x4." If that newscast was real those people will never live it down. Being stupid I mean. LOL
 
My question is, was the same person that verified the names, the same person that input them into the computer to allow them to be shown on the screen. I mean surely, these names passed through a couple peoples hands, not to mention the reporter not looking it over before it aired???

This is what happens when you hire college graduates instead of letting them sit at home and collect unemployment and SSI where they can't harm the public.
