Chris sells this job out in San Bernardino County which is about an hour out of LA. The guy has 4 systems but only wants 2 of them cleaned so he gives him a price for the 2 systems he wants cleaned and writes down a price for the extra 2 systems just in case he wants to have the other 2 cleaned in the future. Our guy shows up at the job (with an extra helper just in case) and starts setting up the 2 systems. "No No you supposed to do all four system!!" Our serviceman says that the bid is only for the 2 systems and shows him the bid. "Chris say all four system, you do all four or forget it" So my guy looks at the 2 extra systems and sees that they arent too bad and figures its better just to get it done. He spends 8 hours with 3 guys and does a bang up job. The guy even leaves and comes back in the middle of the night to watch them work just to make sure they did the extra 2 systems. He leaves without getting the check (big mistake) goes home and emails the guy the before and after pictures. So what happens next you ask?
About 3 pm we get a call in the office:"Your guy was here last night and he didnt do a good job", "he didn't clean anything at all?" we ask. "Right behind the filter is all dirty" he says. "OK we will have him come back and fix whatever is wrong" It turns out it is the same guy that wanted the extra 2 systems for free and the dirty spot behind the filters is a little bit of baked on grease below the filter track above an oven that is pushed up against the filter housing.
If you can't guess which kind of restaurant this is, you need to go back and re do Hood Cleaning 101. If need a hint, take a look at the last picture.
