Ron I want to publicly thank you for everything you have done helping me and my son Chris.

This is his 10th full month of pressure washing all on his own and 2009 has rocked thanks to you!!

This is DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS - -NEW YEARS - VACATIONS - FREEZING NIGHTS -etc - It should have been a bad month!

But, in December alone I see on the calendar here that Chris has completed and billed over $4500 in work. There was not a SINGLE one-time cleaning this month - everything he did in the entire month of December is contracted and scheduled weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/or quarterly. And thanks to your help in bidding he just sent off a $36,000+/yr bid for 2010-2011 for two shopping centers and from the way they sound on the phone it looks like he's going to get it.

Thanks to your help in showing him how to work with speed as well as quality he completed December's work in 8 short nights and his hourly is $136/hr - within a few dollars of exactly where you told him it should be.

He also completed all this work alone.

His plan is to stick to the basics and specialize in one area and follow your instructions exactly.

I know you have been instrumental in teaching me things and ways to sell I never imagined. I thank you for that. The network you have built has introduced me to people I would have never met otherwise and appears that because of that 2010 will be the best year Sonitx has ever had.

Why don't we hear as much on here from guys like my son Chris, or Matt, or Kory? It's the middle of the winter in Colorado - Matt should be sitting at home by now!

It's because they are busy personally putting into practice what Ron has taught them and they are cashing in big time!

And, for all the Ron haters, keep on hating - please keep on hating and don't listen to a word he says - he's just in it for the money - he doesn't know anything about running a professional business - make sure you distance yourself as far from Ron as possible. This will ensure that the market is left open for guys like Me, Chris, Matt and Kory to clean house! :groucho:

I also wanted to tell Ron Thank You again, because without Ron, PWI, NCE and the round tables I attended all year long I would not have been able to know what I needed to know, talk to the right people, get the right advice to get this one contract for fleet washing which is a 1 year contract but renewable in 1 year increments for another 2 years.

I have learned some great things throughout the years but this year 2009, I can say that I have learned more and implemented a lot (still have a lot of things that I have learned but have not implemented yet) to help my business grow more than ever before.

This coming year 2010 will be by far the best year I have ever had and without throwing numbers out there, I know I will do 50% more than this year minimum. Yes, I know, I am over 40, work out of the house, don't have the most professional or sharp looking uniforms, don't have a store-front office, and I don't have a college degree telling me what to do but with the help of all the people here on the bbs's, Ron, PWI and NCE I know that I will do good next year. I really believe that!

I am learning a lot about selling and marketing that should really help me grow my business more next year than this year and should be able to get the 4th trailer and second truck so I can do more work per hour and achieve my goals.

OK!!! I'm done lying...LOL. Thanks Ron. Trust me you have helped me and you don't even know it. I'm looking forward to 2010 and I'm looking forward to seeing the results from what I've learned from you. Keep on giving buddy. It is very much appriciated. More than you will ever know! :smile:

Don, you and Chris C. can hash that out in pm's.

This thread has nothing to do with anything except a description of what Chris S. and others have accomplished in less than a year of following Ron's directions and a thank you to Ron for it.

The poll is just for information. I've learned from all four of the choices (HVAC orgs only) and my answer is overwhelmingly choice "D". What's yours?

Exactly right Anthony.......add Marketing.

Properly marketing my business over the last few years has been a huge part of our continued growth and success in a down market.

I have a BA in Political Science, Pre-Law and Criminal Justice and I am thankful I never took any marketing courses in college as I am sure they would have jaded me.

The things I have learned from boards like this and other PROFESSIONAL contractors have helped outweigh the many mistakes I have made over the years.

I am excited about 2010, sent out about 30 Lottery Letters today to some of my key prospects (PM if you want a copy)......we have some lofty goals this coming year and I am stoked to get started!

How's business Don? I have not called you in a while. Last time we talked you were looking into another venture, did you do that? How did it work out?

What % of your leads/calls are from your website? Just curious.

Thanks. I've spent some time on the site. I'd say at least 90% come from there. During the Christmas season I got 70-80 calls just from the web in a 4 week period. It was fricking nuts. I couldn't keep up next year I will be better prepared.

I booked a room, they still have some available.

I am not 100% sure yet but decided to get a room before they are all gone so if I cannot make it, I can always cancel 2 days prior.

I called this morning and left a message with Thad to call me back to talk about the event, guess he is busy.
 
I first met Ron at the first Myrtle Beach RT in "08". What impressed me the most was, out of all the Contractors and Distributors that were there, he took time to come over and introduce his self to me and my wife. He didn't have to, he was busy as crap, he had a lot going on, but he took time to stop and talk to a small time contractor like me.

Every time I go to one of the NCE events I take away something that will make our Business money. And if you guys come to any of the Southern events you'll see me there........... On The Front Row!!!!!!

I have heard Ron called everything from, The Energizer Bunny On Crack, to the Biggest SOB walking the planet, and though we don't agree on some subjects, and can piss you off every now and then, I hope I can call him friend.

Ron I enjoy our talks @ 3 or 4 am when I'm at work, it's really cool that you take time out to call!!!!

Not kissing your butt Big Guy, just letting you know I respect you and what you're doing for the contractors like me!!!!!!

Add learning how to market to the poll and I can vote. ;)

I just assumed that learning how to market would be covered somewhere under the four choices. I know I took marketing classes in college and most orgs offer marketing seminars.

Is there another avenue of learning where you have learned marketing you'd like me to add to the poll that doesn't fall into the four choices?
 
I was slammed for the last 5 months of the year. I have taken the last two weeks off to spend time with my family to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Although i have been on vacation I still have 1 employee out doing light work to bring some cash in. I have also been working on my marketing and business plan for 2010 most everything is done with marketing material off to the printer. As of now we already have written 4,500 in business for january with about 36k waiting for approval! I am in no way bragging just telling you that it can be done. Listen Learn....... Earn! It takes a lot of hard work and determination but you can make it happen! So yes thank you Ron but more importantly thank you everyone who comes to PWI and RT's I have learned a lot. I also want to thank all of you for the support you have given!
