Taking a different tack.....

A friend and neighbor of mine who runs a trucking company just bought an upholstered furniture mfg company and wants me to be purchasing , scheduling and inventory control manager. I had 25 years experience in that before the economy tanked and I started my washing business. I'm keeping my washing business on the side but will be working for "the man" again. We've been preparing to start the lines up shortly and although I was scared, nervous and anxious about getting back in manufacturing I've enjoyed the last few days.
I just live in too rural an area to stay as busy as I really wanted pressure washing and I'm getting old as mathusula (54). My business has gotten better each year and you can't knock a smile off my face when we are washing. Guess that's why I'm keeping my equipment and now I'll just have to pick and choose jobs.
The new job will give me more stability especially the seasonal part. I'll still be hanging out here maybe just not as much. Again thanks to all the good guys here for teaching me so much!

Good Luck. There's plenty of days I'm sure alot of us would love to have that steady income of a 9-5 and not have to worry about the headaches that come along with running a business everyday.
May least you have the business to fall back on if things don't work out.

Good luck enjoy your 'time off' working for the man again and say hello 8 day work weeks. I hope it all works out good for you, at least now you have the ability to pick and choose the jobs you want to do and you may enjoy it even more!

Of course I just got a rush call from a church wanting 70,000 sq ft of concrete cleaned. .. bad mildewed. Gotta figure out how to work in.
hence the 8 days a week...Hope you can get it done. Always remember sleep is over rated.
