Are you able to get the Stens Lance/Wand-dual 40" Extension? I ask you a while back about it at that time I thought it was suttner but its not. I have bought the suttner in the past but dont really care that much for it. If you can get them please send me a price. Also I have been trying to login to UAMCC to post the picture of the hose reel that I won but it will not allow me to stay logged in.

Bill I'll take 3of those, a Suttner St-54 dual lance and a bag of 3/8" viton orings.

Have you used the stens dual lance I really like them the low pressure and high pressure are beside each other gives you better control of the water

Matt, I like the over-under variables much better than the side-by-side variables. The Suttner has both the ST-53 (knob control) and the ST-54 (handle control). It is also an over-under style. The advantage of the over-under is that the spray pattern lines up so the top is the bleed. You can use the bleed spray to wash delicate things like dirt off flowers that are near concrete or window sills and door tracks.

When the lances are side-by-side you lose this advantage.

Here's a picture of the St-54. I've been using these for 15 years and it's by far my favorite.

How long does this brand last you?

How long until it starts leaking at the handle? The Suttner ST-54 starts leaking within a month of use and I don't run any chemicals through it, I use a different gun/wand for downstreaming.

I really like the ST-54 but it just starts leaking at the side handle within a month.

I wish someone out there would make something that would last months or longer, that would be nice.

I agree with you Chris. I like the Suttner ST-54 but the side handles don't last. The last one I ordered which was a different make hasn't held up either. I'm going to look around and try another brand when I order a new one sometime next week.

My suttner has lasted me 6 years now. Just don't over tighten the handle when you're closing the bleed. The one problem I've had is the plastic stripping in the handle. Since I don't over tighten it anymore my last one has lasted quite some time.

Thanks for the info Craig, I will try taking it apart and taping the threads and see what that will do.

Years ago I used them for downstreaming but thought that the chemicals were causing the leaks but once I switched to a different gun for downstreaming, the dual lance would leak within no time when new so it was not the chemicals.

I wonder if anyone has mentioned this to Suttner? Maybe if a lot of us sent them emails, maybe they could look into a more heavy duty design that would last longer before leaking.

Thanks again Craig, I will give that a try and see what happens.

I have three of them that have lasted over 4 years, I bought the suttner and it only lasted a couple months.
