Surface Cleaner (overlapping stripes)

Hello All

I currently use an 18' surface cleaner powered by a 4.2/3300 hot/cold unit to clean commercial and residential flatwork. Periodically, I will run across a job that ends up having overlapping stripes (overlapped area is lighter than the rest). I can go back over the area again and again, but the stripes are still there. I usually run at about 150-180 degrees and recently replaced the tips (25 degree pattern as specified by manufacturer). Is the pw just not powerful enough for some tasks?

What surface cleaner size/pw size are you veteran commercial flatworkers using?

Thanks in advance.

Take care

Ron

I had this problem with my whirlaway I raised the centre bearing to its highest point and replaced the jets with ones that sprayed a wider V this solved the problem hope this helps MATE.

Have you changed the housing and bearing in your whirlaway? I am having a hard time finding parts that are not marked up like crazy.

Try a 15 degree tip and make sure they are both #2 Also adjust the spray angle of the arms if possible . Make sure the arms are not bent as well. Here are some swivel manufactures adjustment Techniques.

Go to Photos then Surface Cleaners then Cleantec Folder

Thank you for the responses. I also have a Whirlaway. I will give the recommendations a shot and see what happens. I'll let you know the outcome.

Thanks again.
