Supply hose reel

I have a constant issue with our PW supply hose. Unless we unroll the entire 200' of hose it kinks at the joint where it attaches to the reel. It cuts the intake way down and causes us to run the float tank low. I've tried the 5" spring covered sections and it just moves the problem. Looks like a 45 degree pipe fitting won't fit. Does anyone have a way to bend the hose and not restrict it? I use the good Sears 3/4" black hose. They are Summit reels.

FYI after you guys posted I took a better look at the reel. Being impatient as I am I had run a 1.5" long 1/2" nipple between the 1/2" female fitting on the reel and the brass hose adapter since I couldn't find a 3/4" hose female to 1/2" IP male at the time. This of course stuck the female hose fitting out even further from the reel. Thus the excess kinking. DUH.

I got out and found the correct fitting and also took the suggestion of winding it up some while it still had pressure. What a difference! Thanks to those that answered.
