Superduty part swap?

I just bought an '06 yesterday and it has the "chrome package" on it, which I personally don't like.

I am planning to re-skin the outside of the side mirrors with the black plastic, but I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to swap out grills with me.

Your truck would need to be '06 or '07, the grill with the four wide horizontal strips of chrome. My grill is the 'chrome package' grill.....looks like a knock-off billet style----many thin horizontal pieces. Most likely, if you are into these trucks you know what I mean.

Anyone want to trade?? I know the chrome package was a pricey option, and most like it----just not me. Let me know if you are up for a swap,

There are a ton of those things out there. You might get Scott to be ambitious and convert his truck over to the newer front end.

I would have to find someone to mill down the grill at the bottom and I would need to 1 piece headlights to make it all look good.

I took a pic of the front so you can see the grill and side mirrors that I don't like.

The other truck is another 06 we have, bought new 2.5yrs ago with bad hail damage. Both are Lariats, both nice trucks. I drove the new one for awhile, but I always wished I hadn't bought something with damage, kinda takes away your desire to keep it clean, etc. As well, I always wanted the 20" dubs like the white one has. It's a shame---Ford really had the '06 and '07's right---really good trucks.

Come on, you can do it... Get the aftermarket headlights and go for it. Then you can tell your wife it is a new truck that needs more toys.
