Whats the most odd thing you have found in a hood system while cleaning it.
I have found dead birds in the fans.
Mice in the ducts.
Hats in the fans from the goobers who attempt to wipe out the interior of the hood before shutting down the system.THEM- "Hey my fan is making a strange noise can you check it out?" ME-" Ah mite be this baseball cap and cleaning rags I found lodged in the fan blades" Cleaning rags and those green scrubbies-same situation they didnt power off before attempying to clean.
I found a sneaker in a fan once.
Packs of cigarettes in hood and in fan.
My favorite is when somebody puts the keys to the walk in freezer in the hood and ya dont see or hear them until its time to vacum out the hood, SLURP- cling clang, Yep -there goes somebodys keys.Time to go fishing.
Tools is my favorite, free tools is a bonus, ya leave it in the fan its mine!
I've found assorted screwdrivers, pliers, channellocks, fan weight crimpers, sockets, utility knives. occasionaly the old parts from the last motor switchout. OH and the old fire links left in the hood from where the last company serviced the fire system.
