Story behind my reclaim retold

My name came up as the guy who claims he has 50k invested in reclaim equipment and it just sits idle.
I have already addressed this in past posts, maybe I can put some clarifications on it, since I am the only knows my why and how much I actually invested
Yes I built a reclaim unit a BIG ONE, <Pic attached> I think the Steel Eagle Fury sells for 10k give or take,
I got vaccum boom and 16” surface cleaner, 55gal sludge take and hose reels…
I reckon if you add that up maybe 12k – 15k depending on where.
The trailer was a aluminium featherlite 24ft gooseneck that was used to haul race cars, Worth a good bit of money.
I did not buy the reclaim from Sunbrite, Jerry, Russ, Pressure tec or anyone else that is associated with this or any other bbs.
Nor did anyone here (past or present) scare, force or convince me it building it.

I will again bring up “WetFoot” Remember him??

He had maybe 3or 4 -24ft rigs with 2 alkotas on each of them doing Wal-marts.
If anyone influence me to build one it was him!
He was doing wal-marts (which they require reclaim) regardless weather he was doing a good job…..He was grossing <as he says> 10k-15k or more a night running 4 rigs a night each running 8hrs a night…..not sure of the math…but is sure seemed like a big $$$!

Well I decided to build one just like him but I was going to put mine in a enclosed trailer. So I bought a 24ft featherlite trailer at a good price and I put my reclaim equipment in there with my pressure washers that I already owned.

After I build it, I went out with him and done a couple wal-marts.
Never did like it, to much paper work and red tape on where to dump water and was not feasible to leave job to dump ect….
He wanted to pay me by hour or sub for him,
I did not want the wear on my truck.
Besides the enclosed trailer did not work for me because with all the machines running it was to hot and I did not install fans or exhaust out the roof.
So when it didn’t work out with Wetfoot, I did not pursue any other opportunities to run the reclaim equipment since I was already washing homes full time. IN the mean time we went through a drought and bottom fell out of the economy

Now as far as 30-50k for the reclaim equipment that is sitting idle, only the basic stuff I mentioned earlier is in storage. Sold the trailer, no harm there.
Yeah I won’t get reimbursed for the labor I paid to have my local guy build it for me.
Everything else is on my new trailer <pic attached>

Everyone wants to sound good a maybe fudge a bit to leave the impression to their customers that they are bigger than they actually are.
Well I might be guilty of that, I am just a one owner operator, no employees and no contracts and but the God Lord has put me here and provided my needs and I am happy and content where I am and right know don’t want to change the path I am on.

Now back to the 30k (not sure if I said 50k but if I did I am sure it will come up) Maybe I was justifying it by saying if I had to replace all this stuff new including my 2 pressure washing units with all the surface cleaners or maybe my truck is part of my equipment?

I will sum it up here…
I do not have 50k worth of equipment sitting idle and it is a bad example to fudge my words to make a point in a fight I am not in.…

I have just the reclaim with some accessories which couple of you guys might have and are required to use on certain jobs.
I think they are some jobs that reclaim would benefit….it a tool like anything else.
For the past 13yrs I have only done residential with a occasional commercial.

Now I have built me another trailer that suits my needs better and who knows if I had to replace it who knows it could be between 30-50k.
But hey it’s my money and I can spend it the way I want and it should be no ones business but mine.
I will not get involved and pick sides….I have stayed neutral.
All that shopping bmp ect…most of that stuff I don’t even have a clue what it is.
I am just not a political guy and I am not trying to change the industry ….
I just like washing homes and pleasing my customers!

What someone else buys for his business, weather it be equipment, advertizing, roof pumps, orgs, certifications or something as simple as a 50.00 ladder saver (some people think that is a ripoff / 1.99 hosebarb)…..its his business and decision.
Y’all should know with all the division that’s going on
We are not the same and we will look at things differently.

Now whoever has been a bad boy……they will be judge according one day by the big Guy upstairs. Just remember that going through life.

With all that said …who wants to buy a reclaim cheap? ;)
Attached are pics of my new rig, my old reclaim rig that is in question.

funny thing is I got a call today from a water dept today saying they had complaint and I was in violation by dumping water in a drain.
just finished washing a home and I have a 1000 tank and i had to much water in tanks when i unhook from home, went to the end of the street to the culdisac
and was doing some paper work as I was unloading some of my water to make trailer lighter and the person whose home I was in front come out taking pictures and pitching a fit.
needless to say the person from the water department who called me today ...well lest just say we had a lively conversation. ;)

I actually got cited by a city here for doing the exact same thing. A public works employee for the city turned me in and Barney Fife from the Water department paid me a visit. He also got me for not having any water reclamation equipment on my truck.

Then the guy proceeds to tell me how he gave his own boss a ticket once. I asked him "so, did you get a raise that year?" needless to say he didn't answer me and just gave me a dirty look.
