Anyone cleaned a stone roof? Looks like a tile roof but feels like hard asphalt roof ......Deep stains in it....Sugesstions?

Gene, is that the one you told me about the other day?

Got any pictures of it?

I tend to think that treating it just like any other Roof Cleaning with a normal Roof mix and spraying it down with whatever pump your using should work just fine. You may have to go a little stronger on the mix and reaply in some areas but it should Clean up just fine. Let Mother Nature rinse off all the dead mold residue.

I did a roof that looked and felt like pavestone. It had weird black and yellow stains on it the guy wanted it cleaned and nothing i threw at it would get it clean.but i went to the ace hardware and bought some purple power and brushed it in full stregnth and let it dwell.then threw more on it and the stains came up a few shades. turns out it was sap from the palms he had around his house and had cut down the summer prior to the cleaning.

This roof is hard as rock and very rough feeling......Whats the best attack I can make on it?

Kinda of looks like cement asbestos shingles. How old is the house?

How about a small test area? I've done slate with reg roof mix with no problems.

Gene, thats just a Concrete Tile Roof. Clean it as you normally would using your regular Roof Cleaning mix. Those lighter gray Tile Roofs leave an egg shell color once your done applying your mix which is just dead mold and algae residue. 1 or 2 good rain storms rinses the dead mold residue right off and it will look brand new again. You will be fine! :)

Thats what I have done but very little rain here lately......Those are before treatment but I might go back and hit it again so it will soak in good.....I think roof is 25 years old...( I was told)
