Starter Finicky

Hey Mr. Wizard,
My RK-31 has a quirk where it won't start unless the gun is held open. If you try to start it without the gun being held open, the pressure builds up to 3200 and it just won't start. IF you release the pressure, it still won't start. It only starts if you hold the trigger open. Any thoughts or suggestions?

the starter motor is not strong enuff to turn the pump while there is built up pressure. You should not even try, it will burn the starter motor out.
They sell an easy start kit. Call mark.
I use a high pressure ball valve and dont shut off the unit untill im finnished. So no need to start and stop the motor. On start up i run everything for a min. or so to run out any rust or scale that might have come loose during the trip.

Squirt said everything right except the part about calling Mark. He is my compettitor and ofcoarse I never recommend calling him. LOL
